Love you dad :)

So I have had a crazy summer, and haven't quite had the time to sit and write about it.
My dad lost his thumb team roping in Dillon, Montana right before July 1st. My mom drove to Salt Lake that night and met him there. They reattached the thumb, but the circulation wasn't great and they had to take it off. It's been a very emotional month, but we are staying positive! He will be having more surgeries to lengthen the bone in his thumb, but for now he is just to stay healthy! I have really realized throughout all of this how important my family is, and I have re-prioritized alot of the things in my life.

we love ya dad! :)

Summmmmer!

Yayyy, finals are over, I passed all my classes, and I can relax! I have soo much going on this summer.. so it's going to be an eventful one!
- Of course I will be spending every available moment of my summer in my FAVORITE national part, Waterton!
- Our ward is going to Martin's Cove July 8-12, and I have never been so this will be interesting!
- Probably some more Waterton...
- Guess where i will be ALL week July 16-24...? WATERTON! :)
- August 2-7 I'm going to E.F.Y. in Calgary with my beautiful friend Carly MacLennan :D
- On the 8th I'm going to... BACKSTREET BOYS CONCERT!... back streets back, ALRIGHT!
- I'm sure my family will be going to Surveyors Lake in B.C. somewhere around this time, I;m just not sure when. I love Surveyors. It is the highlight of my summer, especially when you meet a few friendly boys :)
- I will also be serenaded by the gorgeous Michael Buble on the 18th.. mmhhmmm.

That is the agenda of my Summer so far, BUT there is one thing i feel is very important to add to it.. On the 20th of September, I will be attending the concert of... JUSTIN BIEBER. I know, I know.. but who can resist him? I really do have Bieber Fever.  How exciting..

This last little addition of this post really has nothing to do with summer.. at all.. but I'm just so darn excited!
My brother Tyler and his lovely wife Erin are expecting a baby this December! We are all thrilled, and can't wait to see the little peanut!

Graduation Cannot Come Soon Enough.

Alright, so i know that high school comes with the joys of catty fights and drama, but really... isn't this a bit much? I am so ready to get out of this little town and meet people who haven't been sheltered by a small town their whole lives. Lies, rumours, stories, everything! If you're in a small town, you will hear of them! Yes, I am positive I sound grumpy, and at the moment I am. Graduation cannot come soon enough. Why aren't people just nice to eachother... and why can't we all just get along? I think it is time for me to take a look at my life, and realize that there are important people that i need to stay close to, and some others who are only apart of it to cause problems... and I need to let go of those people. I have been through alot in my life, and I know what I am and am not capable of, and I don't need "friends" to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

"There comes a point in life when you get tired of chasing everyone and trying to fix everything, but it's not giving up. It's realizing you don't need certain people and the drama they bring."

Love

Lately I have become utterly obsessed with Dallas Green, of City and Colour. I have been playing lots of his songs on the guitar lately, and I just LOVE him! His voice, lyrics, style, guitar, glasses, etc.. he is absolutely brilliant!

I even love his tattoo's!

I think his best song is The Girl; the lyrics are amazing!

I wish I could do better by you,
Cause its what you deserve.
You sacrifice so much of your life,
In order for this to work.

While I'm off chasing my own dreams,
Sailing around the world,
Please know that I'm yours to keep,
My beautiful girl.

When you cry a piece of my heart dies,
Knowing that I may have been the cause,
If you were to leave, fulfil someone else's dreams,
I think I might totally be lost.

You don't ask for no diamond rings,
No delicate string of pearls,
That's why I wrote this song to sing,
My beautiful girl.

oh, the places you'll go!

This past week I have been thinking non-stop about where I wanted to go to university, what I want to be, where I'll live, etc. I have been fairly set on attending NAIT or SAIT and entering into X-ray and Lab Technician, but lately i have been thinking of taking up education? Is that weird? I'm a pretty social person, and I think teaching would be awesome! However, I don't think i could handle the elementary level. I would much rather prefer working with high school students and people who I can carry out mature conversations with (I like to think I'm mature :P). So the plan as of now is too attend Weber State University in the fall of 2011. It has a beautiful campus and University Village housing, plus it's cheap and I don't have to pay out of state tuition! Oh, and my best friend in the whole wide world Abby Hall is planning to attend with me, and live in the same 4-bedroom/2- bath/kitchen/great room apartment with me! I honestly can't wait to experience life on our own, it is going to be great! The only down sider to all of this is that my mom has engraved into my little head that marrying a resident of the United States is strictly forbidden, and that i shouldnt even bother looking at boys while I am away to school! So sorry boys, you are prohibited! :)
